End of June update on Dog pound greyhound racing strategy

As mentioned on the strategy page, one of the strategies I am running on greyhound racing is showing promise. I am particularly intrigued by the performance on Open racing and will share monthly updates

March 2025 - June 2025 performance

Here’s the updated overall performance after applying 2% Betfair commission on winning bets:

• Win Rate: 12%

• Average Odds: 14.53

• Total Profit (Net): +292.63 units

• ROI per Bet (Net): +0.53 units

• Standard Deviation (Net): 4.55 units

• Max Drawdown (Net): 45.58 units

• Net Profit: +159.92 units

• ROI per Bet: +1.48 units

April 2025

• Bets Placed: 108

• Net Profit: -23.97 units

• ROI per Bet: -0.22 units

May 2025

• Bets Placed: 155

• Net Profit: +79.50 units

• ROI per Bet: +0.51 units

June 2025

• Bets Placed: 180

• Net Profit: +77.18 units

• ROI per Bet: +0.43 units

Over the past four months, the Open Racing system has quietly established itself as one of the strongest performers in the Dog Pound portfolio. Despite a challenging April, the strategy has bounced back with consistent unit gains and strong ROI at high average odds.

That said, still a while ago till at least the end of August 2025 before we can make any conclusions on long term profitability. I will then fully automate the OR element
